A. Alumni Extension Services
1. The FSUU Alumni and Placement together with the FSUU Alumni Associations (High School and College Levels) regularly conducts the following Outreach and Extension Programs:
a. Gasa Para sa Masa is the university's extension service program where the Alumni takes an active participation by providing assistance in the form of food provisions, shelter needs, medical services, and fellowship activities to indigent communities, namely: Por Cristo (Home for the Elderly) and Susumpit (smokey mountain community) . These extension services to the said communities usually take place as part of the yearly celebration of their homecoming, especially by batches who are celebrating their 20th, 25th , and 50th anniversaries.
b. Medical Missions. The holding of Medical Missions facilitated by the FSUU Alumni and Placement Office and the FSUU Alumni Associations, alumni medical professionals such as doctors, nurses, therapists,etc., are able to render medical and health services to indigents in the community. These services include medical-dental consultations and treatment, disability clinics, free medical supplies and medicines.
c. Resource Persons. Another extension service of the FSUU Alumni Associations is the rendering of professional expertise to the school such as:
B. Placement Services
The Placement Services of the University provides the following services to the students, specially the graduating class:
a. Seminar on Job Preparation and Application
Every February of each school year, the Alumni and Placement Office conducts its regular seminar-workshop on Job Preparation and Application for the university's graduating students. The seminar-workshop provides them with knowledge and skills on how they may go about preparing and finding a job. This includes series of talks, demonstrations, and workshops on Preparing Application Letters and Resumes, on How to Prepare for a Job Interview. Outputs of this seminar-workshop are the application letters and resumes of students, both in hard and soft copies and loaded in the Net.
b. Jobs Fair
The university also conducts its annual Jobs Fair for its graduating students. This activity provides them with hands-on opportunities of getting job interviews from real companies, agencies and institutions. The said jobs fair helps increase the students' level of confidence and proficiency in communication. While the jobs fair is conducted for exposure purposes, many instances occur when a student actually gets an offer for a job by a participating firm.
c. Job Placement
The office provides the students update information on the recent job opportunities available for application. Companies and establishments submits bulletins of information of their firm's hiring needs and these are posted in the school's placement bulletin board. Through the on-line internet facility, the office also provides the said companies lists and resume profiles of its graduates for their reference on job hiring needs.
